You will enter Ottawa on Hwy 417 from either West (option 1a) or East (option 1b).
Your most probable option:
You're on Hwy 417, heading East. You exit at Lees Ave. (Exit #118) and at the STOP sign, you turn left - (do not turn right at the STOP sign). You keep going and you cross over Hwy 417 (2a).
You follow the signs for King Edward Ave. which is more or less straight ahead (3). This will bring you to Hull (Quebec) after you cross the Macdonald Cartier bridge (4).
You will then automatically be on Hwy 5 "en route" for Maniwaki - again, follow the signs.

Your second option is if you come from the East:
You're heading West on Hwy 417 (1b).
You take the exit for Nicholas St./Mann Ave. (2b).
You keep your right toward Mann Ave.
This brings to King Edward Ave. (3) which you must take.
From there... same as first option above.
